Recent forecasts from MetService and international models indicate a high of 15°C for Wellington on September 13, driven by a ridge of high pressure bringing mostly fine conditions with light southerly winds and partial cloud cover. This places the daily maximum slightly above the long-term September average of 13°C, supporting the market's strong 68% implied probability for 15°C. Model consensus shows low precipitation risk and stable temperatures peaking midday, though minor variations in wind strength or cloud timing could shift the exact high between 14–16°C. Updated official guidance ahead of the observation window will likely anchor trader positions.
