Recent National Weather Service and model consensus point to scattered afternoon thunderstorms and moderate easterly flow keeping Miami's September 14 high temperature in the upper 80s, with most guidance showing 86–88°F under partly to mostly cloudy skies. Persistent high humidity and sea-surface temperatures near 86°F support rapid convective development that typically limits peak readings, consistent with climatological norms where daily maxima rarely exceed 90°F this late in the season. The market's emphasis on 90–91°F reflects trader weighting of slight model spread and the chance that drier boundary-layer air or delayed storm initiation could allow modest additional warming before resolution. Updated short-range runs and any National Hurricane Center tropical updates over the next 48 hours remain the key near-term catalysts.
