Republican incumbent Jeff Crank holds a clear edge in Colorado’s 5th District, anchored in Colorado Springs, reflecting the seat’s R+5 Partisan Voting Index and the party’s consistent hold since the 2024 open-seat contest. Cook Political Report rates the race Likely Republican after shifting it from Solid Republican, citing the district’s gradual leftward movement in recent presidential cycles. Democratic candidate Jessica Killin has outraised Crank and drawn national party attention, with House Democrats targeting the district for the first time; an internal poll from late 2025 showed a narrow Crank lead. Both parties face June 30 primaries, after which general-election dynamics and voter turnout in this fast-growing area will shape the final outcome.

A candidate without a ballot-listed affiliation to either the Democrat or Republican parties will be considered a member of one of these parties based on the party with which they most recently expressed their intent to caucus at the time all of the House elections are conclusively called by this market's resolution sources.
