Recent forecasts from multiple models converge on a highest temperature of 20–21 °C for Amsterdam on September 19, driven by a persistent southwesterly maritime air mass and extensive cloud cover that limits daytime heating while light showers and 15–20 mph winds enhance mixing. This aligns with the market’s tight spread between the 20 °C (35.5 %) and 21 °C (43.5 %) outcomes, reflecting genuine uncertainty in the precise afternoon maximum amid modest model spread and ongoing precipitation. Historical late-September averages near 19 °C provide context for the mild anomaly. Traders will watch updated ECMWF and GFS runs plus official KNMI guidance for any late shifts in cloud timing or wind strength before resolution.
