Forecasts from the China Meteorological Administration and global models show Beijing's September 7 high likely reaching 28–31 °C under increasing cloud cover and a 60–75% chance of rain as a northeast flow and frontal system arrive, following clearer, warmer conditions on the 5th and 6th. This represents a modest cooldown from recent daily maxima near 32–34 °C and aligns closely with the 1991–2020 average high of 27.9 °C for the date. Traders are weighing the consistency of model guidance on peak afternoon temperatures against historical variability, where readings have ranged from the low 20s to the record 33.3 °C. Updated official guidance and any late shifts in precipitation timing remain the key near-term catalysts.
