Forecast models from GFS and ECMWF currently indicate Manila highs near 31–32°C on September 24, with scattered thunderstorms and monsoon moisture likely limiting peak heating through increased cloud cover and rainfall. Trader sentiment reflects this narrow range, as small shifts in storm timing, wind patterns, or boundary-layer moisture could push the daily maximum one or two degrees higher or lower. An ongoing moderate-to-strong El Niño episode provides a warmer baseline than neutral years, yet the southwest monsoon (habagat) remains the dominant short-term control. PAGASA’s next regional updates and fresh model runs will clarify whether conditions trend toward the upper or lower end of the tightly bunched 30–36°C outcomes.
