Current forecasts from the National Weather Service and other models indicate a Wednesday high in San Francisco likely between 74°F and 80°F, with trader-implied odds clustered tightly around the 76–81°F bins due to lingering uncertainty in marine layer strength and onshore flow. Sea breezes and the Pacific's moderating influence typically cap coastal maxima below inland values, while recent cooler conditions and variable wind patterns could either enhance or suppress afternoon warming depending on the exact steering flow. Historical September averages near 71°F provide context, yet recent model runs show potential for brief ridging that favors the upper end of the distribution. Updated NWS guidance and next model cycles will refine resolution thresholds ahead of the 23rd.
