Recent short-term forecast models from agencies including the Shanghai Meteorological Bureau and international sources indicate a high near 29°C for September 21 under partly cloudy skies with northerly winds of 3–5 m/s and minimal precipitation risk. This aligns with observed conditions on September 20 near 29–30°C and typical late-September patterns in Shanghai’s humid subtropical climate, where highs average around 27°C. Stable high pressure and absence of strong frontal systems or typhoon influences support limited day-to-day variability, positioning 29°C as the market consensus while leaving modest room for 28°C if afternoon mixing or cloud cover increases slightly. Updated model runs and official briefings ahead of the date will refine these implied probabilities.
