Recent National Weather Service forecasts for Los Angeles on September 1 indicate sunny conditions with highs in the upper 70s to mid-80s, placing the market's leading 76-77°F and 78-79°F bins in close contention as traders weigh ensemble model outputs and coastal versus inland variations. Official point forecasts show a narrow spread around 80-84°F downtown, tempered by marine layer influences and typical September diurnal patterns near the historical average of 76.8°F. With resolution imminent, minor differences in steering winds or boundary-layer mixing create the observed split in implied probabilities rather than broader atmospheric shifts. Updated model runs from NOAA will refine the exact peak before market close.
