Recent southwest monsoon enhancement from Tropical Storm Pilandok, which exited the Philippine Area of Responsibility on September 3, continues to drive cloud cover, scattered thunderstorms, and moderate daytime highs across Metro Manila. Official PAGASA guidance and multiple forecast models indicate September 6 highs near 28–30 °C (82–86 °F) with high humidity and frequent rain, limiting solar heating compared to clearer conditions typical earlier in the season. These factors align with historical early-September patterns under active habagat flow, where afternoon maxima often remain below seasonal peaks. Updated PAGASA bulletins and short-range model runs through September 5 will provide the final observational data for market resolution.
