Recent forecasts from multiple models indicate a low around 54–62°F for Chicago on September 13, driven by northwest winds shifting overnight, increased cloud cover reducing radiational cooling initially before partial clearing, and a 20–40% chance of showers that could moderate minimums. Historical averages place the typical low near 60°F, but current National Weather Service and ensemble guidance show cooler air advection from the north, elevating the implied probability of readings at or below 53°F to 46.5% while compressing odds for 60°F-plus outcomes. Traders are weighting the latest model consensus and timing of any frontal passage ahead of resolution.
