Recent National Weather Service and private forecast models indicate Miami's September 14 maximum will likely reach the upper 80s amid scattered afternoon thunderstorms driven by daytime heating, sea-breeze convergence, and elevated precipitable water values near 2 inches. These conditions favor highs near 88°F, consistent with climatological norms for mid-September, though variable cloud cover and storm timing introduce uncertainty that could allow brief clearing and peaks approaching 90–91°F. Trader emphasis on the 90–91°F bin reflects this narrow upside potential from current guidance, while lower bins remain discounted absent a stronger tropical moisture surge or model shift in the next 48 hours.
