Recent National Weather Service forecasts for Denver indicate a Wednesday low near 56–59°F amid scattered thunderstorms and variable cloud cover, creating uncertainty that has split trader sentiment nearly evenly between sub-52°F and 70°F+ outcomes. Thunderstorm timing and intensity from upstream moisture and weak frontal boundaries can either enhance radiative cooling under clear breaks or trap heat with overnight cloud decks and light winds, while the city's high-elevation urban heat island effect and downslope warming add further variability. Model runs show modest spread in boundary-layer moisture and wind speeds, typical for transitional mid-September patterns where average lows hover around 49°F. Updated NWS guidance and higher-resolution model outputs expected over the next 48 hours will likely sharpen resolution odds.
