Recent National Weather Service and private model guidance points to an overnight low in Miami on September 9 near the upper 70s to low 80s, driven by persistent tropical moisture, high dew points above 78 °F, and scattered nocturnal convection under light easterly flow. These conditions limit radiative cooling typical of drier nights, keeping temperatures elevated relative to the 1991–2020 September average low of 77 °F. Market-implied odds cluster tightly around the 78–81 °F buckets because forecasters see limited scope for significant cooling or an unusual cold surge before the date. Traders weigh the risk of localized heavier rain or a brief clear spell that could allow a dip toward 76 °F or below, while noting that official Miami International Airport observations—used for resolution—will capture the final minimum between 6 p.m. on the 9th and 6 a.m. on the 10th.
