Recent National Weather Service and private model consensus points to a high near 100°F in Dallas on September 1 under continued sunny skies, south winds of 5–15 mph, and minimal cloud cover, keeping the 100–101°F bin narrowly ahead of 98–99°F. Persistent subtropical high pressure and warm advection from the Gulf maintain elevated temperatures typical for late summer in North Texas, with heat indices potentially exceeding 105°F. The tight market split reflects remaining uncertainty in afternoon peak timing and any subtle changes in boundary-layer mixing or minor afternoon cumulus development before the next frontal passage. Official updates from the NWS Fort Worth office and afternoon model runs will refine the exact maximum.
