**Persistent late-summer heat and southerly flow keep overnight lows elevated across North Texas.** National Weather Service and private model guidance for September 1, 2026, converge on minimum temperatures in the upper 70s to low 80s °F, with clear to mostly clear skies, dew points near 65–70 °F, and light south-southeast winds limiting radiative cooling. This setup follows an extended heat wave that has produced daily highs near or above 100 °F and prevented typical early-September nocturnal drops. Trader consensus clusters around 80–83 °F outcomes because ensemble spreads remain narrow, reflecting high model agreement on the absence of any frontal passage or increased cloud cover that could alter the minimum by more than a few degrees. Historical climatology shows an average low near 75 °F for the date, underscoring how anomalous the current pattern remains.
