National Weather Service forecasts place Miami's high near 90°F today under mostly sunny skies with a 50% chance of afternoon thunderstorms and heat indices to 106°F. This consensus supports the tight market split between the 88-89°F and 90-91°F bins, as scattered convection could limit peak heating if storms develop earlier or cover more area, while persistent breaks in clouds allow readings to edge higher. Typical late-summer steering patterns and moisture from the Atlantic favor this variability, with hourly observations and radar trends now determining whether the maximum settles in the upper 80s or low 90s before resolution.
