Current ensemble forecasts point to a highest temperature of 28–29°C in Shanghai on September 10, with showers and increasing cloud cover expected to limit daytime heating under northeasterly flow. This positioning reflects typical early-September conditions moderated by residual monsoon influences and frontal activity, which suppress peaks below the seasonal average near 30°C while preventing cooler outcomes. Model consensus shows limited spread on maximum values, though variable timing of precipitation introduces uncertainty in the precise high. Updated runs from the China Meteorological Administration and international guidance will provide further refinement before the day.
