Recent National Weather Service forecasts and ensemble model guidance point to a moderate high temperature for Los Angeles on September 12, with downtown areas expected near 84°F and Los Angeles International Airport around 79°F under partly cloudy skies influenced by the marine layer. This follows an early-September heat spike that brought a 92°F reading at LAX on September 8, but a cooling trend driven by onshore flow has lowered projected maxima into the low-to-mid 80s. Historical climatology places the September 12 average high near 76°F, with the all-time record at 95°F, underscoring how current atmospheric patterns favor typical rather than extreme conditions. Updated NWS briefings and model runs over the next 48 hours will refine these outlooks ahead of market resolution.
