**AS leads trader consensus as the frontrunner for the largest share of seats in Latvia’s October 3 Saeima election, reflecting its strong recent polling position around 17-19% and the formation of a new four-party governing coalition in late May 2026.** Andris Kulbergs of the United List (AS) became prime minister after the prior coalition collapsed amid disputes over defense issues and drone incidents near the border. LPV maintains solid second-place support as a populist alternative, while SV has risen notably on the strength of its platform. Electoral changes, including nationwide advance voting and manual ballot counting, add procedural clarity ahead of the vote. Traders price in AS’s momentum from its interim leadership role and regionalist appeal, though Latvia’s proportional system and multi-party fragmentation leave room for shifts before election day.
