Recent coalition realignments and polling trends position Apvienotais saraksts (AS) as the market leader for the October 3, 2026 Saeima election. A new four-party government formed in May 2026 under an AS-designated prime minister, after the prior coalition collapsed when the Progressives withdrew, has highlighted AS's negotiating strength and regional-rural appeal. Trader pricing reflects this momentum, with AS gaining ground in recent surveys while LPV maintains populist support but trails in several aggregates. SV, PRO, and JV show narrower paths amid fragmentation, consistent with Latvia's proportional system and 5% threshold that typically produces multiparty outcomes rather than outright majorities.
