**AS leads the market at 58% as the incumbent party heading into Latvia’s October 3, 2026 Saeima election.** Its position stems from Andris Kulbergs assuming the prime ministership in late May after the prior three-party coalition collapsed when the Progressives withdrew. Kulbergs quickly assembled a four-party majority including New Unity, the National Alliance, and the Union of Greens and Farmers, giving AS visibility and governing momentum just months before voters decide. Latvia First (LPV) trails at 18% on the strength of consistent polling in the mid-teens, while smaller lists such as Sovereign Power, the Progressives, and New Unity register single-digit support consistent with recent surveys. The proportional electoral system and 5% threshold make a fragmented outcome and subsequent coalition negotiations the expected path to government formation.
