Recent official forecasts from the India Meteorological Department and global models indicate overnight lows near 26°C in Lucknow for September 19, consistent with late-monsoon conditions and high humidity limiting radiative cooling. The closely matched market-implied odds around 20°C or below versus 26°C reflect uncertainty in monsoon withdrawal timing, which is projected to begin from western regions around September 19–22. Earlier withdrawal could allow clearer skies and greater nighttime temperature drops below seasonal norms of 25–26°C, while persistent cloud cover or scattered showers would maintain higher minima. Traders weigh these variables against historical September lows and the latest model consensus ahead of the next IMD update.
