Current National Weather Service and private model consensus for Denver on September 5 points to a mostly sunny day with a high near 91–92 °F, supporting the market’s tight clustering around the 90–93 °F bins. Light easterly to southerly winds, minimal cloud cover early, and low moisture (dew points in the 40s) favor strong daytime heating at the city’s 5,280-foot elevation, where rapid surface warming occurs under clear skies. Slight afternoon convective development could cap temperatures a degree or two lower if clouds build sooner than expected, while any delay in mixing would allow readings to edge toward 93 °F. Updated model runs and NWS forecast discussions through September 4 will be the key near-term catalysts for any shift in implied probabilities.
