Current National Weather Service and private forecast models indicate a high near 91–92°F for Houston on September 6, aligning with the market’s leading 90–91°F bin at 41.5% implied probability. Typical early-September conditions—moderate southeasterly flow, afternoon humidity near 70%, and 50% chance of showers or thunderstorms—favor modest daytime heating capped by cloud cover and evaporative cooling, consistent with the 1991–2020 climatological average high of 91°F. Recent model runs show limited spread, with no strong high-pressure ridge or dry-air intrusion to push readings into the mid-90s or suppress them below 88°F, keeping the distribution centered on the lower 90s while assigning lower odds to extremes.
