Recent forecasts from Mexico’s Servicio Meteorológico Nacional place the highest temperature in Mexico City on August 29 between 23–26 °C, with many international models converging on 23–24 °C amid widespread cloud cover and showers. Persistent convection tied to the Mexican monsoon and easterly moisture transport is expected to limit daytime solar heating, while the city’s high elevation near 2,240 m further caps maximums relative to sea-level norms. Traders have priced the 23 °C and 24 °C outcomes most heavily because these align with current model consensus and the typical cooling effect of afternoon thunderstorms during the peak rainy season; slight differences in storm timing or wind direction could still shift the daily peak by 1–2 °C. Updated SMN guidance and overnight model runs will provide the next key data points before resolution.

The resolution source for this market will be information from NOAA, specifically the highest reading under the "Temp" column for all times on this day, available here: https://www.weather.gov/wrh/timeseries?site=mmmx
If NOAA data for the observation date is unavailable by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, the Weather Underground Daily Observations table will be used as the resolution source.
To toggle between Fahrenheit and Celsius, click the "Switch to Metric Units" button until the relevant table displays °C.
This market can not resolve until the first data point for the following date has been published on the resolution source.
The resolution source for this market measures temperatures to whole degrees Celsius (eg, 9°C). Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market.
Revisions to temperatures recorded within this market's timeframe will be considered until the first datapoint for the following date has been published, after which any alterations will not be considered.
