In the Nicolet-Bécancour riding, trader consensus reflects a highly competitive three-way contest ahead of the October 5, 2026 Quebec general election. Incumbent Donald Martel of the Coalition Avenir Québec faces Jérôme Gagnon of the Parti Québécois and Guillaume Langlois of the Parti Conservateur du Québec, with recent projections showing these parties clustered in the high 20s percent range on popular vote estimates. Late-August modeling from aggregators indicates each holds roughly comparable odds of victory in a toss-up environment, driven by provincial trends fragmenting support away from the governing CAQ in Centre-du-Québec. The Liberal candidate trails notably. Late-campaign developments such as regional turnout patterns, candidate debates, or shifts in provincial polling could widen gaps among the leaders before nomination closes on September 17.
