Sijia Wei enters the ITF W15 Luan hard-court match as the top seed and WTA-ranked No. 392 against lower-ranked wildcard Yingqun Sun (No. 757). Wei’s experience at WTA 125-level events this season contrasts with Sun’s primarily ITF schedule, where Sun posted a 21-14 record in 2026. No prior head-to-head exists, but Wei’s seeding and recent participation in stronger fields position her as the clear market favorite. The July 8 encounter favors the higher-ranked player’s consistency on hard courts, though Sun’s solid ITF form offers limited upset potential in this opening-round matchup.
