Recent forecasts from models including ECMWF and GFS indicate a highest temperature near 32–33°C in Guangzhou on September 14, with scattered thunderstorms and high humidity expected to limit afternoon peaks through increased cloud cover and evaporative cooling. The closely matched market odds for 32°C and 33°C reflect uncertainty in the precise timing and intensity of precipitation, as stronger or earlier rain could cap readings at or below 32°C while clearer intervals might allow brief spikes toward 34°C. Historical September averages near 32°C and typical steering patterns from the subtropical high provide context, with updated China Meteorological Administration guidance on Monday likely to refine the outlook ahead of market resolution.
