Official National Weather Service and ensemble model guidance for September 13, 2026, point to a classic late-summer marine layer setup, with morning low clouds and fog clearing to mostly sunny skies and highs in the upper 70s to low 80s across the Los Angeles basin. Onshore flow and a strengthening sea breeze are expected to cap inland warming, keeping coastal and airport readings near 78–80 °F while limiting the chance of 82 °F or higher. This aligns with climatological September averages at LAX and follows a recent cooldown after early-month heat exceeding 90 °F. Updated model runs and the next NWS forecast discussion will provide the final data points before resolution.
