Official National Weather Service and model guidance for September 16 in Los Angeles indicate a high near 76–78°F, driven by a persistent marine layer and moderate southwest onshore flow that limits daytime heating while allowing morning patchy fog to clear into mostly sunny conditions. This setup aligns closely with historical September averages for the region and produces the current market-implied probabilities favoring the 76–77°F bin at 50%. Recent forecast updates show minimal shifts in steering patterns or sea-surface temperatures, keeping higher or lower outcomes at low probabilities unless an unexpected offshore flow develops before resolution.
