Recent National Weather Service and model guidance for Los Angeles International Airport indicate overnight lows of 65–67 °F on September 16 under a persistent marine layer with light onshore flow and morning low clouds. This pattern, typical for mid-September coastal Southern California, has produced similar minima the prior two nights and aligns with the 1991–2020 climatological average low near 64 °F. Trader consensus heavily favors the 68–69 °F bin because current GFS and ECMWF runs show no significant cooling or warming signals through the night, while probabilities drop sharply below 66 °F absent an unexpected clear, calm, or offshore-wind scenario. The next model update cycle and any revised marine-layer forecasts remain the primary near-term catalysts.
