Recent National Weather Service and model guidance point to widespread afternoon showers and thunderstorms on September 3 as the main driver capping Miami's peak temperature near 87–89 °F. Persistent east-southeast flow and deep tropical moisture (precipitable water above 2 inches) are fueling scattered to numerous convective cells that increase cloud cover, reduce surface heating, and produce evaporative cooling—conditions typical for early September but stronger than average this week. These factors shift implied probabilities toward the 88–91 °F bins while limiting upside to 92 °F or higher. Updated NWS point forecasts and ensemble runs through early September 2 will provide the next key signals before market resolution.
