Current National Weather Service forecasts and ensemble model guidance for Austin on September 2 project overnight lows in the upper 70s, driven by persistent southerly flow, elevated dew points near 73°F, and limited radiative cooling under partly cloudy skies. These conditions support the market's leading 74-75°F outcome at 62.5% implied probability, reflecting trader assessment of modest variability around the seasonal baseline of 71°F while accounting for the low likelihood of a stronger cool-air intrusion this late in summer. Recent model runs show tight consensus without major shifts, with resolution hinging on the official minimum recorded by local stations before the next diurnal cycle.
