Current National Weather Service forecasts and ensemble model guidance for Los Angeles on September 5 indicate overnight lows in the mid-60s, driven by typical early-September marine layer influence and light onshore flow that moderates minimum temperatures near the coast. This aligns with the climatological average low of 64.5°F and recent days’ observed minima around 64–67°F under similar clear-to-partly cloudy conditions. The market’s leading implied probabilities for 66–67°F and 64–65°F reflect trader weighting of these stable forecasts, while wider spreads on adjacent bins capture uncertainty from potential variations in cloud cover timing or exact marine intrusion strength ahead of resolution. No major weather systems are expected to alter the pattern significantly.
