Persistent high pressure over the southern Plains has sustained above-average heat across North Texas, with official National Weather Service forecasts for Dallas on September 9 projecting a sunny high near 99–101°F under light southerly flow and heat indices reaching 105°F. This aligns with the recent multi-day stretch of 100°F+ readings driven by clear skies and minimal cloud cover, well above the 91.5°F climatological average. Model consensus shows little change through the period, though minor variations in boundary-layer moisture or afternoon mixing could shift the peak by a degree or two. The market-implied 61.5% probability on 100–101°F and 28.5% on 98–99°F reflects this narrow forecast range and limited upside risk from the current pattern.
