Current National Weather Service and model consensus point to a high in the upper 70s to low 80s for Los Angeles on September 14, driven by persistent marine-layer influence and southwest onshore flow that promotes morning low clouds and fog before gradual afternoon clearing. These conditions limit daytime heating compared with stronger offshore winds, keeping temperatures near or slightly above the September average high of roughly 76°F while suppressing extreme warming. Recent forecast runs show stable steering patterns with no incoming heat ridge, supporting the market’s heavy weighting toward the 78–81°F range as the most probable outcome under current atmospheric setup.
