This market will resolve to the temperature range that contains the highest temperature recorded by NOAA at the Miami Intl Airport Station in degrees Fahrenheit on 23 Aug '26. The resolution source for this market will be information from NOAA, specifically the highest reading under the "Temp" column for all times on this day, available here: https://www.weather.gov/wrh/timeseries?site=kmia To toggle between Fahrenheit and Celsius, click the "Switch to US Units w/ kts" button until the relevant table displays °F. This market can not resolve until the first data point for the following date has been published on the resolution source. Revisions to temperatures recorded within this market's timeframe will be considered until the first datapoint for the following date has been published, after which any alterations will not be considered.Recent National Weather Service guidance points to lower-90s highs for Miami on August 23 under southerly flow and high moisture, with a roughly 50% chance of afternoon showers and thunderstorms. This setup creates the tight split between the 90-91°F and 92-93°F bins, as peak readings depend on the exact timing of convective initiation: early or widespread storms can suppress surface temperatures through shading and downdrafts, while delayed development allows greater diurnal heating. Abundant boundary-layer moisture also elevates heat indices above 105°F even if air temperatures stay moderate. Recent model trends and climatological analogs for late-August South Florida reinforce this narrow range, with limited upside potential absent stronger subsidence.
