**Environment Canada’s official forecast calls for a high of 27 °C on September 3 under partly to mostly cloudy skies with only a 30 % chance of showers.** This places the most likely daily maximum in the narrow 27–28 °C window that currently dominates trader pricing (36.5 % and 43.5 % implied probability, respectively). Multiple numerical models show modest spread around this value because of uncertainty in cloud cover and the timing of any showers. Airmass originating from the northwest, combined with light westerly flow, favors daytime temperatures a few degrees above the 1991–2020 climatological average of 24.2 °C but well below historical extremes for the date. The tight clustering of market-implied odds between 27 °C and 28 °C reflects the sensitivity of the daily maximum to even small changes in insolation or brief convective activity; a slightly earlier or later shower, or a temporary break in cloud, could shift the peak by 1 °C. Updated model runs and Environment Canada’s next forecast discussion are the key near-term catalysts that could move the market.

The resolution source for this market will be information from NOAA, specifically the highest reading under the "Temp" column for all times on this day, available here: https://www.weather.gov/wrh/timeseries?site=cyyz
If NOAA data for the observation date is unavailable by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, the Weather Underground Daily Observations table will be used as the resolution source.
In the event that there is no data for the observation date by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, this market will resolve to the lowest bracket.
To toggle between Fahrenheit and Celsius, click the "Switch to Metric Units" button until the relevant table displays °C.
This market will resolve once the first data point for the following date has been published on the resolution source, or by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, whichever comes first.
The resolution source for this market measures temperatures to whole degrees Celsius (eg, 9°C). Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market.
Revisions to temperatures recorded within this market's timeframe will be considered until the first datapoint for the following date has been published, after which any alterations will not be considered.
