Forecasts from the National Weather Service and private models indicate Miami highs on September 1 will most likely reach the upper 80s to low 90s, aligning with the market’s leading 90-91°F bin at 45% implied probability. Persistent summer warmth, typical early-September climatology (historical average high near 90°F), and limited steering influences from weak easterly flow support this range, while frequent afternoon convection and sea-breeze effects frequently cap peak readings. Recent August extremes above 95°F show the underlying heat available, yet consistent thunderstorm timing has kept daily maxima from exceeding model guidance. Updated NWS short-range runs and any shifts in convective initiation timing over the next 48 hours remain the key variables that could move probabilities between the 88-89°F and 92-93°F outcomes.
