Bruce Blakeman, the Republican nominee and sitting Nassau County executive, holds a substantial lead in trader consensus for carrying his home county in the November 2026 gubernatorial contest. A June Siena/Newsday survey of Nassau voters showed him ahead of incumbent Democrat Kathy Hochul by five points locally, even as she maintained a double-digit statewide advantage. Recent campaign exchanges over immigration enforcement, state restrictions on local cooperation with federal authorities, and public safety have kept focus on suburban priorities where Blakeman maintains visibility through his executive role. Primary nominations cleared without major intra-party challenges, leaving the general-election matchup set months before voters decide.

The candidates will be primarily ranked by the number of valid votes received in the specified election. If two or more candidates are tied on valid votes, ties will be broken by alphabetical order of the candidate last names. This market will resolve to the candidate that occupies the highest finishing position after applying this ranking.
Candidates who are listed on multiple ballot lines under New York's fusion voting system will have their vote totals determined based on the sum of all votes for that candidate.
If the results of the election in the specified county are not definitively known by March 31, 2027, this market will resolve to "Other."
This market will resolve based on a consensus of credible reporting. If there is ambiguity, this market will resolve based solely on the official results as reported by the government of New York, including the New York State Board of Elections and the government of Nassau County.
