Chen Ting-fei holds a dominant position in the Tainan mayoral race as the Democratic Progressive Party nominee following her primary victory over Lin Chun-hsien in January 2026. Tainan’s consistent support for DPP candidates in recent local elections underpins trader consensus around her prospects ahead of the November 28 vote. KMT nominee Hsieh Lung-chieh remains the main challenger, with a March 2026 poll showing the gap narrowing to roughly five points. Minor candidates and independent options register minimal implied probabilities, reflecting limited viability in the two-party contest. No major new developments have altered the field since the nominations, leaving structural party advantages and voter base stability as primary influences on current pricing.
