**Louisiana’s 6th Congressional District uses a jungle primary system on November 3, 2026, in which all candidates appear on one ballot and a majority is required to win outright.** A crowded field of ten candidates—including Republicans Blake Miguez, Rick Edmonds, Larry Davis, and others alongside Democrats Chauna Banks and Pat Forbes—has produced fragmented support. Recent polling shows the leading contenders in the high teens at most, with roughly 40 percent of voters undecided. The district’s post-redistricting Republican tilt and absence of an incumbent further disperse votes rather than consolidate them behind any single contender. This structure and polling distribution drive the strong trader consensus against an outright first-round winner. A late surge in endorsements, unexpected consolidation around one frontrunner, or atypical turnout patterns remain the main variables that could still alter the outcome before November.
