The open seat in Kentucky's 6th District, following Rep. Andy Barr's Senate run, features Republican Ralph Alvarado against Democrat Zach Dembo in a contest shaped by the area's Republican lean from the 2024 cycle. Recent internal polling has shown the race tightening to a near tie, fueled by Dembo's endorsements from popular Gov. Andy Beshear and his primary performance across most counties, while Alvarado benefits from Trump backing and stronger name recognition after his state Senate service. Traders appear to weigh these candidate dynamics and midterm turnout patterns against the district's structural tilt, producing the current implied probability edge for the Republican nominee ahead of the November general election.

A candidate without a ballot-listed affiliation to either the Democrat or Republican parties will be considered a member of one of these parties based on the party with which they most recently expressed their intent to caucus at the time all of the House elections are conclusively called by this market's resolution sources.
This market will resolve based on the result of the election as indicated by a consensus of credible reporting. If there is ambiguity, this market will resolve based solely on the official results as reported by the United States government, specifically the Federal Election Commission (https://www.fec.gov/).
