In Brazil's October 2026 Senate election in Bahia, where voters select two senators, trader consensus reflects a tight contest for second place among several viable candidates. Recent candidate registrations and mid-2026 polls show Rui Costa (PT) leading overall, while Jaques Wagner (PT), Angelo Coronel (Republicanos), and João Roma (PL) cluster closely behind for the remaining seat, with margins often within sampling error. PT's coordinated slate, opposition party alignments, and undecided voter shares sustain balanced probabilities. Upcoming debates, coalition finalization, and late polling shifts ahead of the single-round vote could widen gaps among the contenders.
