Forecast models from multiple agencies converge on a peak temperature of 32°C for Munich on September 8, 2026, under a stable high-pressure regime delivering mostly clear skies, light southerly winds, and minimal cloud cover through the afternoon. Observational data through midday already show readings climbing toward 31°C with continued warming expected before evening cooling begins. This aligns with the market-implied odds of 98% for exactly 32°C as the daily high. A realistic shift away from this outcome would require rapid development of unexpected convective clouds or an earlier influx of cooler maritime air, both of which current short-range guidance assigns low probability. Historical September maxima for the date rarely exceed 30°C, underscoring how anomalous the present warmth is.
