Recent National Weather Service forecasts and ensemble model guidance indicate a Monday night low in New York City centered near 60–62 °F, driven by northeast winds of 10–15 mph advecting cooler, drier air behind Sunday’s frontal passage and persistent cloud cover that limits overnight radiative cooling. This setup favors the market’s leading 62–63 °F bin while leaving room for 60–61 °F if winds weaken or skies clear more than expected. Historical September climatology shows typical overnight lows in the low-to-mid 60s, so the current consensus reflects modest post-frontal moderation rather than an anomalous chill. Updated model runs and NWS briefings through Monday evening will refine the exact minimum before resolution.
