Incumbent Democratic Representative Maggie Goodlander holds a commanding position in New Hampshire’s 2nd congressional district ahead of the November 2026 general election, reflecting her 2024 victory, the district’s D+2 Partisan Voter Index, and consistent double-digit leads in early polling against likely Republican opponents. Nonpartisan forecasters rate the seat Solid or Likely Democratic, citing Goodlander’s incumbency advantages, fundraising edge, and the absence of major shifts in voter sentiment since her swearing-in. The Democratic primary on September 8 features limited competition, while the Republican side remains fragmented. Trader consensus prices reflect these structural and polling factors, though a national partisan wave, unusually high Republican turnout, or late-cycle developments could still narrow the margin in this competitive though Democratic-leaning district.
