Joyce Beatty, the longtime Democratic incumbent in Ohio's 3rd congressional district, secured her party's nomination in the May 2026 primary and faces Republican nominee Cleophus Dulaney in the November general election. Forecasters rate the seat Solid or Safe Democratic, reflecting its consistent partisan lean and Beatty's established record of strong performance in the Columbus-area district. The wide margin in trader consensus aligns with this structural advantage and the absence of competitive primary challenges or recent polling shifts that would indicate a viable Republican path. Late developments such as a major scandal, health issue, or unforeseen national political realignment remain the primary factors that could alter the current outlook before Election Day.
