Forecast models from the National Weather Service and private ensembles indicate mostly sunny skies with light easterly winds of 5–15 mph across Atlanta on September 16, favoring strong daytime solar heating and a maximum temperature centered near 90°F. Dew points near 65–70°F and low precipitation chances under 20% support efficient boundary-layer warming without significant moisture or cloud interference that could cap highs. Recent model runs show tight clustering around the upper 80s to low 90s, consistent with the market’s heavy weighting on the 90–91°F bin and secondary support for 88–89°F. Historical September climatology for the date averages 83°F, but current synoptic conditions reflect a warmer-than-normal pattern with no incoming fronts or tropical moisture to alter the trajectory before resolution.
