Recent National Weather Service and GFS-based forecasts indicate a minimum temperature near 66–72°F for New York City on September 17, driven by mild southerly flow, partly cloudy skies, and dew points in the upper 50s to low 60s that limit radiational cooling overnight. This setup produces market-implied odds clustered tightly around 68–73°F, reflecting modest model spread in boundary-layer mixing and cloud cover rather than major pattern shifts. Historical September 17 lows average near 61°F, but the current warm anomaly aligns with broader late-summer conditions and supports the elevated central range. Traders will watch the next high-resolution model runs and NWS updates for any adjustments to overnight cloud trends or wind speeds ahead of the 48-hour resolution window.
