Recent National Weather Service and model guidance indicate sunny, stable high-pressure conditions will drive Houston's September 20 high into the mid-90s, with light southeast winds and Gulf moisture supporting afternoon peaks near 94–95°F and heat indices to 105°F. Dry air advection on the 18th briefly lowered humidity but has yielded to typical late-summer moisture return, keeping temperatures tightly clustered without significant frontal relief. Trader emphasis on the 92–95°F bins reflects this forecast consensus while acknowledging minor model spread in boundary-layer mixing and exact timing of peak insolation. Official observations from Houston Intercontinental will resolve the market.
